The full text is below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>This book is a compilation of the poetry of poet Kim Eon Hee (b.1953), translated into English by Soje, and the visual works of artist Lee Mire (b.1988), whose art incorporates Kim\u2019s poetic texts. Both Kim and Lee investigate the human body as a site of primal experience and materiality\u2014the human flesh as an eating, copulating, and excreting being with holes\u2014and its visceral affects. What spills over from their shared exploration is a confrontation, and possible pursuit, of the abject, or even the Real \u201cbeyond all meaning, intention, concepts, interpretations, evaluations, categorization, judgments, and description.\u201d<sup data-fn=\"55c82e0a-2467-4d8e-b2a8-e8e8763113ca\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#55c82e0a-2467-4d8e-b2a8-e8e8763113ca\" id=\"55c82e0a-2467-4d8e-b2a8-e8e8763113ca-link\">1<\/a><\/sup> By juxtaposing Kim\u2019s poems with two of Lee Mire\u2019s series which directly draws upon Kim\u2019s poetry, the book provides a striking intersection of text and image, offering insights into the artists\u2019 collective exploration of the body\u2019s intense physicality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/hleejjly.hostingkr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-1024x684.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-64\" srcset=\"https:\/\/namsubin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-1024x684.png 1024w, https:\/\/namsubin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/namsubin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-768x513.png 768w, https:\/\/namsubin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Installation view of Lee Mire,&nbsp;<em>Look, I&#8217;m a fountain of filth raving mad with love<\/em>, 2022. Photo: Avel Schneider.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first chapter, \u201cLook, I\u2019m a filth of raving mad with love,\u201d features a series of panel works from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmk.art\/en\/whats-on\/mire-lee\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.mmk.art\/en\/whats-on\/mire-lee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lee Mire\u2019s solo show of the same title at ZOLLAMT Museum fu\u0308r Moderne Kunst (MMK) (Frankfurt, Germany), 2022<\/a>. In this exhibition, Lee transcribed Kim\u2019s text with cement on brown wooden panels, on which sculptures resembling oral cavities were suspended, filling an entire wall with screams of poetry. The second chapter, \u201cPrayers,\u201d presents a smaller series with the same title inspired by Tibetan Buddhist mandala with veils, exhibited in <a href=\"https:\/\/spruethmagers.com\/exhibitions\/territory-group-exhibition-berlin\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/spruethmagers.com\/exhibitions\/territory-group-exhibition-berlin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the 2024 group show \u201cterritory\u201d at Spru\u0308th Magers (Berlin, Germany)<\/a>. In these pieces, Kim\u2019s poems are embedded with melted lead and emerge into view through holes in skin-like fabrics.
